Mother Earth Worldwide (ME) is a lifestyle brand committed to alliance and genuine, authentic connection with and for the environment, living beings, and the self. Based in California, the brand draws on international philosophical and spiritual ideas. The fashion industry, as stated by Kaya Dorey, last year’s UN Young Champion of Earth winner, is “one of the most polluting, wasteful and unethical industries”. By creating each order uniquely, ME eliminates any and all waste of materials. The suppliers that ME works with both nationally and internationally are WRAP (Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production) certified, ensuring that workers have humane conditions and livable wages. ME designs are created using water based inks for coloring, minimizing use of chemicals and chemical waste. Additionally, 5 percent of gross profits from ME are donated to the “Mother Earth Fund”, dedicated as a trust fund for ecological conservation activities on Earth.
When wearing the “hypnosis” leggings from ME for the first time, I instantly noticed a difference in the quality of material and design, giving me confidence in my everyday life. Everywhere I went, I received compliments about them, and this is not something I would say often.
