The SDG Global Festival took place in Boon, Germany. Being with people from around the world where music was used to communicate solutions directly to the audience was a blast.
In between each speaker’s presentation, was a musical performance. One would not believe that after each speaker presented, the music sealed the connection between among the audience to authentically work together on solutions to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.
Presenters were literally creating new solutions to their already existing presentations. People were forming partnerships in real time across continents.
For the first time, in addition to the work all were doing on behalf of others, the participants in the room resonated with they too had to take actions themselves.
Another focus whilst using music was healing in bringing people together, it fostered the realization we must bring the awareness of the sustainable development goals to the everyday person in our communities, and have them understand, they too are the solution.
We cannot put the responsibility on others to take care of our world. Each of us are responsible to solve the ongoing social and global issues we face. For society is us. The crowd shouted #IAMSDG ——
