UN Sustainable Development Goals in Chinese Calligraphy

Everything arises in a word, in language.   During a special meeting at the United Nations, Art for Peace, an UN NGO, focused on spoken word, poetry and music as a bridge to Peace for all nations.

It felt as though every participant had traveled to over 42 countries as we shared culture, stories and the issues in each country.  Amazingly, while all of us came from different economics, ethnicity and ages, we realized our humanity was the same.  We realized even more we had an opportunity to learn from each other, connect and collaborate together.

Through the healing of music, art, painting and poetry was the one place where peace was experienced.  And possibly through these mediums, citizens and even countries could find a way first understand, then be understood.  It was through the mutual love for the arts that each person realized that was an unconditional acceptance.

Living in this place of creativity, it was possible to find solutions to the challenges we all have.  What if we could solve the climate crisis or have equality for everyone?  Can we even see that future?

Through the Art of Peace, we experienced the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals written in Chinese Calligraphy where the message was Universal.  Everything arises in a word, in Language.
